Stepping to the foundry, far from the noise and chaos of the urban traffic, you find yourself in an unique atmosphere that keeps intact the fascination of an ancient history. Here in the heart of the Isola quarter and in closest neighborhood of the Santa Maria alla Fontana sanctuary, a prestigious bronze foundry has been established in 1806, the Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia, a name given by Manfredini brothers in the honour viceroy of the Italian Kingdom, Eugenio di Beauharnais.

Nowadays the ancient buildings accommodate a museum, dedicated to the history of the art of founding and to the activities of the Barigozzi family, which succeeded Manfredinis, dedicating themselves to the bronze bells and monuments production for over a century. The Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia continues to be a place of work, art and culture, where exhibitions, concerts, cultural events and manifestations can be organized.
