In the 1868 the foundry has been acquired by the Barigozzi family, already operating with many workshops in other regions of Italy (Pavia, Asti, Pallanza etc) and in Canton Ticino (Locarno and Balerna), who have used the “alla Fontana” plant since 1851 for the bell production. In this way in 1868 Barigozzis finally opened a stable workshop also in Milan, providing it with a big reverberating oven, needed for the creation of entire bell compounds typical for the ambrosian tradition, so called “concerts”, in one unique fusion.
